Our goals are simple, but our task is daunting. The need in New York City is shocking. We also have a need. We need help. We are looking for people who have a desire to help a great cause and a little extra time to do some work at home.

In our inaugural year, we helped about eighty children, and we were also able to supply a few classrooms. This year we more than doubled the number of children helped. We know, thanks to the generosity of our donors, that we can help even more children next year, but we are limited by the lack manpower. We cannot do it all alone.

Since GIVE AND LEARN is a relatively new organization, we are constantly learning. We cannot at this time anticipate exactly the kind of work we would require but if you feel that you have the time to help or a special skill you can donate, we would love to hear from you. In the future, we will likely need volunteers to do many different types of things, such as delivering supplies to schools, helping with fundraising, publicity, accounting, etc.

While we are definitely in need of volunteers, we know that everyday life can be difficult and busy. We ask that you consider taking on this responsibility very seriously and that you are certain you can commit the time before you commit to us. We are happy to discuss this with you personally and to answer any questions you may have before you make the decision to volunteer. Just email us and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
