GIVE AND LEARN was designed not only with children, but with you, in mind. We realize that teaching is a challenging profession even with all of the tools and resources required. For those of you who teach in low-income communities, the challenge is even greater. We understand that doing your job well often requires not only the sacrifice of your time but often of your finances. Many of the classrooms in our city's public schools are poor in the basic supplies; a problem which is heightened by the poverty of the children. It is often impossible for the parents of these children to fill the gap left by the Board of Education's budget.

If you teach children in need of school supplies or fees for activities, and/or work in a school that is poor in supplies for classrooms or programs, we’d like to hear about it. Send us your "wish list" and we will do our best to make it happen.

If one of your students has a specific need, we'd like to hear about it. The "red tape" at GIVE AND LEARN is minimal and we will try to help individual children promptly and efficiently.

Let us know. We are a young organization and of course our resources are limited, but we are serious about helping and our requirements to obtain assistance are simple.
